Other compromising facts emerge from the SPAK file against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi. Undoubtedly, the file that sinks the former president is that of the CEZ-DIA affair. Meta is accused of influencing the Energy Regulatory Authority to reduce the price of energy purchased by CEZ.
But if we look at the SPAK file, the ERE board members at that time are also involved. An interview of Elvis Mataj, conducted by journalist Artan Hoxha, went to SPAK. Mataj was once the head of LRI and an associate of Ilir Meta. But Mataj was also the Executive Director of the DIA company and he was the one who discovered the bargains of Ilir Meta and Kastriot Ismailaj.
He says that Ismailaj promised 500,000 euros to ERE members, while Meta's confidant there, Petrit Ahmeti, would receive 150 million old lek. Petrit Ahmeti, at that time, was a senior official in this public entity, while on October 13, 2013, Ilir Meta appointed him chairman of ERE.
Among other things , Elvis Mataj gives information that Kastrioti had promised Petri Ahmet and the members of the ERE Board the sum of 500,000 Euros, which would ensure the reduction of the price of energy that CEZ bought from KESH. Following the testimony, Elvis Mataj declares in front of the journalist that Kastriot Ismailaj promised Petri Ahmet that he would pay him 15 million lek, an amount which was partially paid (page 9 of the report, dated September 23, 2021) , it is emphasized in the file.
So SPAK emphasizes that part of the money has been given, so why is there no investigation for Petrit Ahmet? The suspicions are that he sold Meta. He was interrogated by SPAK and billed the affairs to his former boss.
Throughout his career, Ahmeti is remembered only for abuses of positions and power, shopping and corrupt affairs worth millions of euros.
The Supreme State Audit reported to the Prosecutor's Office the head of the Electricity Regulatory Entity, Petrit Ahmet, accusing him of having caused a damage of 9 million euros to the state budget. The file was closed corruptly.
The thefts were committed during the time when Ahmeti served Ilir Meta. On October 10, 2013, Petrit Ahmeti was appointed by the Assembly to head the board of the Energy Regulatory Entity (ERE).

The name of the head of ERE, Petrit Ahmeti, is mentioned in the Arbitration file in the testimony of the former director of CEZ in Albania, Josef Hejsek, given on October 26, 2014.
In his testimony, Hejsek claims that it was the former ambassador of Albania in Prague, the late Qazim Tepshi, who recommended Kastriot Ismailaj as a collector of CEZ's external debts.
