Another apartment is being built without a permit, right in the middle of the day, on public land, defying the law and citizens who respect the rules.
This is not only an illegal act that constitutes a criminal offense, but also a clear example of the failure of oversight structures, in particular the Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IMT) in Saranda.
Various sources suspect that the head of IMT Saranda, Nasip Hoxha, is involved in corruption, which also explains the lack of timely intervention to stop the construction of this building.
The denunciation was made by Infront Albania, which has also published the following video. According to the denunciation, when the institution that should stop the violation is itself a party to the violation, the law becomes a facade and abuse the norm.
"This is not just an illegal construction. It is an insult to rule-abiding citizens, to the rule of law, and to any effort to protect public spaces."
"An immediate investigation by law enforcement agencies and serious intervention by the municipality and oversight institutions is required. Saranda cannot remain under the rule of informality with the blessing of corrupt officials," the Infront Albania complaint states.
