The American State Department has declared "non grata" nearly 600 officials from many countries of the world, in the last 7 years. 

The first to raise the bar of blows from Washington was former chief prosecutor Adriatik Llalla. He became the first example of sanctions under Article 7031 (c), after he was declared undesirable along with his wife and children in 2018. Then the Secretary of State continued to apply this example in many countries of the world, especially in the Balkans.

After Llalla, Tom Doshi, Vangjush Dako and finally Sali Berisha followed. The head of the Democratic Party was the last to be blacklisted under Article 7031 (c), after sanctions were also imposed on Aqif Rakip, but not under this article.

DASH has published on its official website the statistics of "non grata" announcements since 2018. In this year, a total of 15 people were sanctioned, at the head of which was Llalla, followed by Tom Doshi. In 2019, this number was increased and 58 people were declared undesirable, including Vangjush Dako.

In 2020, the US has significantly increased the measures and blacklisted 157 people. This number dropped to 72 in 2021 and increased to 164 in 2022. Sali Berisha is also part of the 2021 list.

In 2023, 115 people were declared undesirable. Meanwhile, the fact that during 2024 there are 13 persons declared undesirable, the lowest in all these years, stands out. This is a signal that we may have earthquakes in the coming months. The USA is in an election year and it seems that this part has been left behind, but it seems that with the election of the new president, we will again have characters on the black list. It has been said that many names have been prepared in our country, but the new ambassador is expected to arrive.
