Yesterday evening, in the Ali Demi area , near a bar and very close to the main road, a physical clash followed by gunfire occurred. The incident was reported by several portals as a fight between young people, without giving names or going into detail about the reasons for the conflict.
According to Pamphlet's sources from the Tirana Police, behind this clash is citizen Lendi Palaj , a name previously mentioned as the leader of the informal betting network "333" and "CR7". At the height of the clash, his friend and armed wingman, Xhoi Çupi, pulled out a gun and fired into the air, in the direction of an Audi vehicle with British license plates.
Two pistol cartridges have been seized, while the police have questioned several people, but there has not yet been a public reaction or detention measure for the protagonists. The event is being "silently" classified as an ordinary incident.
Xhoi Çupi , who is known in the field as the person Palaj uses for protection and to collect gambling debts, is the same one mentioned in the gunshot wound in the Shkoza area in August 2023, where a young man was injured after a collision for still unclear reasons.
It is not the first time that Lendi Palaj's name has come up in such conflicts. In another episode, which also took place in the Ali Demi area, in front of the PSD offices, another physical clash occurred involving well-known names in the field, but which ended with institutional "peacemaking".
These episodes are no longer "fights between young people." They are organized clashes that take place in populated areas, with firearms, where the parties arrive in luxury cars, with escorts, and with armed people at their disposal.
And why are these things happening?
For gambling debts? For broken deals? Or for territorial control among illegal networks operating in silence?
Nobody asks, nobody intervenes. But the facts are there: these people have created networks of violence, influence, and protection, which also include members of the Republican Guard in informal escort and personal security functions for figures like Palaj.
