Air Force One landed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at around 7:50 p.m., while US President Donald Trump will attend a NATO summit in The Hague, where he is expected to take a victory lap over the ceasefire and apparent end to the short Iran-Israel war.
His arrival comes as Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced "the end of the 12-day war imposed by Israel," in a message to the nation broadcast by the official IRNA news agency.
"Today, after the heroic resistance of our great nation, whose determination makes history, we are witnessing the establishment of a ceasefire and the end of this 12-day war imposed by Israel's adventurism and provocation," Pezeshkian said.
Trump will be officially welcomed by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, and will attend a private dinner for NATO leaders.
The US President's stay will be brief: he will attend Wednesday's summit and immediately return to Washington, DC to rejoin efforts to convince senators to pass his sweeping spending agenda, known as the "big, beautiful bill," before the July 4th holiday.
