Tragic accident in Brazil/ Bus collides with truck, 11 dead and 46 injured

Eleven people were killed and 46 others injured in a tragic accident yesterday afternoon. It is learned that a bus collided with a truck, while the bus burst into flames. The serious accident occurred in the central-western state of Mato Grosso.

Of the 46 injured, 12 are in serious condition, including the truck driver, while 26 others are in stable condition. Eight people suffered minor injuries.

The causes of the accident still remain unknown.

The accident occurred on the BR-163 highway, which recorded 1,304 traffic accidents in 2024 alone, 65 of which were fatal. 40 people lost their lives on the same highway from January to June of this year.
