Israeli authorities activate alarms in several settlements after suspicions of a drone entering the area's airspace
Drone infiltration alarm sirens have been activated in several settlements in the Jordan Valley, in the West Bank territory.
Security authorities reported that warning systems were activated after radars identified a suspected aerial object that could be a drone.
Alarms were heard in several Israeli communities in the area, while security forces have launched checks to confirm the nature of the object and determine whether it is a drone that has penetrated Israeli-controlled airspace.
There are no reports of damage or casualties so far. Authorities are continuing operations to locate the object and assess the threat level.
The drone infiltration alert in the Jordan Valley is considered particularly serious due to the strategic importance of the area to Israeli security. The valley lies along the border between Israel and Jordan and constitutes a sensitive military corridor in the West Bank.
In the context of the current conflict in the region, drones are widely used for reconnaissance, sabotage or explosive attacks. For this reason, any unidentified aerial object in this space is immediately treated as a potential threat, activating sirens and security protocols in settlements and military installations in the area.
