Donald Trump's khaki-uniformed gangs have begun shooting American citizens and yesterday killed a 37-year-old white woman, Renee Nicole Good, with 3 unexplained gunshots to the face while she was traveling in her car.
This happened in Minneapolis, not far from where a police officer killed George Floyd nearly six years ago. The difference is that this case is not the result of the fault of a single officer or overly oppressive policies by local police forces, but rather a deliberate federal mission to terrorize immigrants and Hispanic Americans with methods worthy of the Nazi Gestapo or Maduro’s troops in Caracas, especially in cities led by Democratic mayors and governors.
Trump sent 2,000 federal ICE agents (the federal immigration and customs agency, which now operates as a paramilitary group) ostensibly to protect Minneapolis, and against the advice of Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz, but with the openly racist and authoritarian goal of surrounding the city's large Somali-American community and politically exploiting a social services scam in Minnesota organized by a group of American citizens of Somali origin.
The grotesque Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, dressed like a cowboy from a second-rate Hollywood movie, immediately tried to stir up trouble, saying that the ICE agent had legitimately defended himself from an act of domestic terrorism committed by the woman driving the car who was killed for that very reason.
But the video footage clearly contradicts the version offered by the current administration. Meanwhile, a few hours later, the instigator of this violence, Donald Trump, used social media to accuse the victim of being a crazy woman, a violent member of the American far left who had attempted to kill the federal officer.
Again, the images show the woman running away from officers to avoid arrest, before one of them shot her dead. Local investigative and political authorities have confirmed that the woman was not the target of the immigration officers' raid.
According to Trump's false claims, the officer who shot the girl has been hospitalized and it's a miracle he's still alive, despite video showing the officer after shooting 3 times calmly walking towards the dead woman's car and then driving away.
The Minneapolis police chief himself confirmed that no one was injured besides the victim. Governor Walz, Kamala Harris' vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 election, said that protesting Trump's racist policies is a laudable form of patriotism, but urged people to do so peacefully.
So he called in the National Guard to intervene, explaining to Trump that the military should answer to the state of Minnesota and not the federal apparatus in Washington. Between the protests over the killing of an American citizen in the street in broad daylight, the National Guard protecting the protests, the ICE squads still in town, and Trump’s radical political manipulation based on outright lies, we are just one incident away from a new and most likely inevitable civil war in the US, started by Trump and his maniacal nationalist associates.
Days, weeks and months of chaos and tension lie ahead, especially on the eve of the midterm elections next November, which Trump is trying not to lose, as polls suggest, by distracting the country from social and economic problems (and the Epstein files) with the operation in Venezuela and talks about Greenland.
Two days ago, aware of what he has done in recent months, Trump told Republicans that he would have to win the midterm elections at all costs, because if Democrats lead Congress, they would start the procedures for his impeachment again.
So Trump will do everything he can to prevent the Democrats from taking control of the House of Representatives again. So, we should expect anything because he is an unscrupulous man, a man who believes in nothing and who is capable of anything.
These days we commemorate the fifth anniversary of the violent attack on Congress on January 6, 2021, when Trump sent a mob of followers and fanatics to violently stop the certification of his defeat in the 2020 presidential election.
In that case and in the days that followed, 6 people died and hundreds of attackers were tried and sentenced to several years in prison for the failed coup (Trump himself was not tried, due to a pardon from the Supreme Court he controlled).
On the first day of his second term, January 20, 2025, Trump pardoned the aggressors and officially elevated them to the status of heroes.
