Oil prices fell in Asian markets on Tuesday as investors awaited new developments regarding possible peace talks between the United States and Iran.
Brent crude, a key global benchmark, fell 1.6% to $93.97 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also fell 1.5% to $86.15 a barrel.
The uncertainty over the organization of a second round of negotiations between the two countries, expected to take place in Pakistan, is being directly reflected in the markets. So far, there has been no official confirmation from the parties whether these talks will continue.
Traders and investors remain awaiting clearer signals, while any developments in this direction are expected to have an immediate impact on global energy prices.
