US President Donald Trump has asked for help from allies and other powers to resolve the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on the social network “Truth”, Trump said he hoped that the UK, Japan, France, South Korea and China would send warships to the Strait of Hormuz.
He stressed that all countries that are economically affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz should join the US in allowing oil ships to pass through, only by protecting them. According to Trump, the US will deal with the destruction of Iranian ships and other offensive means.
“Many countries, especially those affected by Iran’s attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will be sending Warships, in cooperation with the United States, to keep the Strait open and secure. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capability, but it is easy for them to send a drone or two, lay a mine, or launch a short-range missile somewhere along or within this waterway, no matter how badly they are defeated. We hope that China, France, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and others, affected by this artificial restriction, will send Ships to the area so that the Strait of Hormuz is no longer a threat from a Nation that has been completely cut off. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing up to the coast and constantly shooting Iranian ships and boats from the water. One way or another, we will soon open the Strait of Hormuz, SAFE and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP ,” he wrote.
