The latest escalation in the war is the attack on Nakhichevan airport in Azerbaijan by Iranian drones, as fears of a wider regional conflict grow.
According to the country's Foreign Ministry, a drone hit the airport terminal building located in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, resulting in the injury of two people, and another fell on a school building in the village of Shakarabad.
Videos from the area show sparks and explosions in the airport area, while social media users report that the area has been targeted in the midst of the war in the Middle East.
Other videos show that there is material damage inside the airport building.

At the time of the attack, over 50 aircraft were flying over Azerbaijani airspace, although as the map shows, the planes were far from the Nakhichevan airport that was hit.
Azerbaijan demands explanations and threatens retaliation
The Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks, calling them a "violation of the norms and principles of international law and contributing to the rise in tensions in the region."
Azerbaijan is demanding a clear explanation and investigation from Iran, calling for measures to ensure that similar attacks are not repeated, while warning that it has the right to take appropriate countermeasures.
