Alaska meeting ends after 3 hours...
Donald Trump's closed-door meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska has ended after nearly three hours. The results of the meeting are still unknown.
It is confirmed that Vladimir Putin will join Donald Trump at a joint press conference.
The high-level meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin began at around 21:35 (Albanian time) behind closed doors at Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage, Alaska.
Trump was accompanied by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
The Russian President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and presidential advisor Yuri Ushakov. The latter previously served as Russia's ambassador to the US.
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin shook hands at the Elmendorf-Richardson Military Base Airport in Anchorage, Alaska.
The head of the White House and the head of the Kremlin stood in front of the media to be photographed, but did not answer any questions asked by reporters.
"President Putin, will you agree to a ceasefire?" a journalist asked.
Another asked what Trump's message is to Putin.
And another asked "will you stop killing civilians"?
But neither president responded.
