Israel has recently decided to declare the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, persona non grata and to ban him from entering the country.
In the official reaction of the Israeli authorities to this decision, it is written that Guterres will remain a "stain" in the history of the United Nations.
"Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran's heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil," said Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
Guterres yesterday condemned the "expansion of conflict in the Middle East, with escalation after escalation" and called for a ceasefire in a statement that did not specifically mention Iran.
