Ukraine is preparing for a nuclear explosion at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and the situation there remains very dangerous. This is what a Ukrainian MP said.
Speaking to Sky News , Kira Rudik said: " we are becoming much more concerned after Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that a serious threat remains at the plant and claimed that Russia was technically ready to provoke a localized explosion at the facility" .
Moscow has rejected any suggestion it plans to attack or sabotage the plant.
Rudik added: "We are preparing for a nuclear explosion and the whole world is watching and there is nothing that can be done."
She said it is "unprecedented" that Russia is not allowing UN officials into specific areas of the plant to conduct inspections.
Ms Rudik added that it is "extremely painful" that a situation like the collapse of the Kakhovka dam last month could "repeat".
"This is the reason why you can't say 'we need more time, we have to look further'," concluded the MP.
