Ceasefire fails! Israel bombs Gaza, 310 casualties reported

A series of explosions rocked the Gaza Strip, marking the resumption of Israeli military bombardment of Hamas targets. These are the most intense attacks since the start of the ceasefire on January 19.

At least 310 people are reported dead. Many of the victims are believed to be registered in Khan Younis. Among the dead are several children.

The Israeli military confirmed that it had carried out "extensive attacks" against the Palestinian group's infrastructure, specifying that the operations had been approved by the Israeli political leadership.

Benjamin Netanyahu's government justified the military action by citing Hamas's refusal to accept a US proposal to extend the ceasefire.

Israel consulted with the Trump administration before the attacks on Gaza . “Hamas, the Houthis, all those who seek to terrorize not only Israel but the United States of America, will pay the price,” said White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt.

"All terrorists in the Middle East should take the president seriously when he says he is not afraid to defend the United States and our ally Israel. The gates of hell will open in Gaza ," she added.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz ordered the defense forces to take strong action against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all proposals from US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and mediators.
