Trump's double diplomacy: between virtual anger and commercial calculation

"Trump-Putin: Diplomatic Flirting and Real Bombing, Ukraine in the Middle of Geopolitical Hypocrisy"

Trump is furious with Putin, but fears the economic consequences of punishment. As Europe prepares for a new diplomatic offensive, the US shrugs off responsibility, blaming Zelensky for the failure of peace.

Saying “Vladimir, stop!” and then doing nothing when hypersonic missiles fall on children in Kiev is more than a diplomatic failure. It is a cynical message: we talk about peace, but we don’t make peace.

Russia's latest attacks on Ukraine, which killed 12 civilians, including four children, came just days after a phone call that Trump described as "great" with Vladimir Putin. But this "brilliant" phone call didn't stop the missiles. On the contrary, they were more sophisticated, more coordinated, and more deadly.

Instead of facing the reality that he has been used and lied to by Putin, Trump vents on the Truth Social network, calling the Russian president “crazy.” But this anger is not accompanied by any concrete action: no sanctions, no termination of trade agreements, no measures against Russian oligarchs.

Why this reluctance? Because Trump doesn't want to risk stock market prices.

Real economic sanctions on Russian energy customers would hurt Wall Street, and that's a red line for any president who thinks more about boosting the index than protecting the international order.

On the other hand, Trump's verbal attacks on Zelensky are a political tactic: if he blames both sides equally, Putin for the aggression and Zelensky for the rhetoric, then he justifies the American withdrawal from the peace process.

This is the new Trumpian logic: “it’s not my war, it’s theirs.” A logic that serves only one purpose, avoiding global responsibility, while Putin prepares for a new offensive in Donbas.

Conclusion: Trump is not leading, he is hiding behind statements. And Ukraine is paying the price./ Pamphlet
