Serious situations are coming to light regarding a TikTok user who allegedly used threats, blackmail, and abusive language to exert psychological pressure on other users of the app. The goal was only one: to get them to submit to his demands.
The incident occurred in Greece, and the suspect has been arrested.
According to the Greek police, he, together with his accomplice and following orders from the 47-year-old co-owner of a transport company, threatened and blackmailed an employee who had gone to another transport company, as well as the owner of a third transport company to dismiss another employee, so that they could return to the 47-year-old's company, with lower wages.
As explained by police sources, this was done because the 47-year-old owed approximately 36,000 euros to two employees who were at his business, resulting in him finding work elsewhere.
According to Greek media, individuals suspected of being collaborators or acting on TikTok's orders were pursuing similar aggressive tactics, intensifying pressures and creating a climate of fear towards those who had been targeted as 'victims'.
One of the most notable incidents involves an employee of a transportation company. In a documentary video, the TikToker is seen addressing the employee in an abusive and demeaning manner, pressuring him to resign. He even suggests that he look for a new job with a lower salary.
"You won't get out of my way easily; your ordeal begins tomorrow," was one of the warnings the TikToker gave his victim.
In another incident, he addresses the employee by saying, "you have to stop tomorrow; if you do, I won't bother you," a statement that constitutes a clear threat and led the victim to the Extortion Department to file a formal complaint.
However, the TikToker's actions didn't stop there. He reportedly took it upon himself to "resolve" business disputes between owners, issuing threats on behalf of one party or the other.
"I will destroy you, I will disembowel you, and I will do you great harm. I will destroy you, your wife, your son, your daughter. You will fall on your knees and beg me. They are all mine and I don't know who you are messing with," are some of the threats.
