Dodik "threatened" Greater Serbia, the MEP: Borders are inviolable,

The head of the Serbian Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, who is known for his nationalist rhetoric, has continued to provoke with controversial statements.

Dodiku, declared that in this century there should be a big Serbian state, which includes Kosovo and Montenegro in it. In an effort to tone down the threatening language, he went on to say that this idea should be shaped by peaceful means and not by war.

The MEP Viola Von Cramon, estimates that these statements of Dodik are a danger for peace in the Western Balkans region, therefore she has demanded a strong reaction from the European bloc.

"Territorial integrity and the inviolability of borders are the main principles for lasting peace in the Western Balkans as well. Now, there is hardly a single day when Milorad Dodik has not attacked and provoked the territorial integrity of the neighboring states of Bosnia and Herzegovina. All his obnoxious statements and threats have not been dealt with properly as he tested the limits. At some point, it will take a clear reaction from the EU leadership to this permanent violation of fundamental principles. Now is the time for a firm message", she told TV1.

However, the professor from John Hopkins University, Daniel Serwer, says that Belgrade still wants to have political hegemony over neighboring countries.

According to him, the ideas for a great Serbia have not yet died.

"He is pushing for Greater Serbia, which would naturally cause instability and possibly war with its neighbors. Serbia wants at least all the territory in which Serbs live in neighboring countries. Failing that, Belgrade wants political hegemony over them. This is unacceptable for the neighbors, for the EU and for the USA", said Serwer.

We remind you that the United States of America has imposed sanctions on Milorad Dodik, as responsible or collaborator, for undermining the Dayton Agreement, as well as for corrupt activities.
