The eldest son of the US president, Donald Trump Jr., said on Wednesday that he does not rule out the possibility of a future run for the White House.
"Maybe one day, that call is there," Trump Jr. said at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha.
"I think my father really changed the Republican Party," he added.
Trump Jr. is considered one of the most prominent figures in the MAGA movement and is seen as a potential successor to his father's political legacy.
He currently serves as executive vice president of the Trump Organization, but he also helps shape his father's second administration, ensuring loyalists and ideological true believers populate the executive branch, while serving as a key Trump attack dog on social media.
Speaking at the Doha forum, Trump Jr. defended the administration's approach - particularly on trade - arguing that it poses no threat to the strength of the American economy.
"Change takes time," he said, adding that fears among American citizens about Trump's trade policies were largely fueled by "hysteria" in the media.
In March, Trump Jr. denied reports that he was considering a run for president in 2028, noting that he was a key figure in convincing his father to pick J.D. Vance as his vice president, whom he described as "an immediate power player" in the Republican Party.
The elder Trump, despite the constitution barring him from serving a third term as president, has floated the idea that he could run again in 2028.
