Russia launched a large-scale combined air strike against Ukraine overnight. Drones and missiles from several bases flew over Ukrainian skies. Explosions were heard in many regions. In Kiev, one person was killed and another was injured.
Meanwhile, President Zelensky proposed new talks with Russia. "Negotiations must be intensified, everything possible must be done to achieve a ceasefire. The Russian side must stop avoiding solutions: prisoner exchanges, the return of children, and a stop to the killings."
Meanwhile, Beijing's Commerce Ministry criticized new European Union sanctions against targets, including Chinese entities, aimed at restricting Russian armed forces, calling the measures "wrong."
"The European Union's actions are contrary to the consensus reached by the leaders of China and the European Union and have had a serious negative impact on economic and trade relations and financial cooperation between China and the EU," a Ministry of Commerce spokesman said.
