The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, warned that the Middle East is facing an unprecedented escalation of tensions, while the security situation in the region is rapidly evolving.
According to statements cited by Al Jazeera, he said that Kuwait was hit by a neighboring state that the country considers a brotherly nation, although Kuwaiti authorities have not allowed the use of its territory or airspace for operations against that state.
Commenting on recent developments, the emir announced that authorities have ordered an increase in the level of preparedness, while state institutions are trying to maintain calm and reassure the public.
He called on citizens to show vigilance in the face of the situation, emphasizing that the region is experiencing rapid developments and growing tensions.
At the same time, the emir of Kuwait urged citizens not to spread rumors or inflammatory messages, warning that unconfirmed information could worsen the situation and incite unrest.
