US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has stated that there will be more steps in the US response to the drone attack in Jordan, which killed three soldiers last Sunday.
In addition to joint airstrikes with the UK against Houthi rebels in Yemen, the US has carried out airstrikes against Iranian-backed targets in Syria and Iraq.
Speaking to American media, Sullivan stated that Friday's attacks were just the beginning of the response to the killing of three American soldiers.
" What happened on Friday was the beginning, not the end, of our response, and there will be more steps - some seen, some perhaps unseen. I wouldn't describe it as an endless military campaign ," he said.
He also added that there is no sign that Iran has changed its policy towards militia groups and the US will respond if it continues to see threats and attacks.
Sullivan emphasized , among other things, that the US is prepared to respond to its attacks and believes that so far the attacks have had a good effect in degrading the capabilities of the militia./CNN
