Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated again that he will not reach any agreement with Hamas.
Netanyahu said that Israel's objective is to eliminate the Palestinian militant group in Gaza and not to accept their conditions.
" I want to be clear about our policy: the essential objective is first and foremost the elimination of Hamas ," repeated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the start of the weekly government meeting in Tel Aviv, reports the Times of Israel.
Netanyahu then set three conditions to reach a deal, the destruction of the remaining Hamas battalions, of which 17 out of 24 were defeated, clearing operations, which the army is said to be carrying out with raids in the north and center of the Strip and neutralizing the Hamas tunnel network, which takes longer."
Among other things, Netanyahu said that Israel is very grateful to the American administration for the support it has received since the beginning of the war.
" With Trump, the behavior of the US in the war in Gaza would have been different from that of Joe Biden. This does not mean that there cannot be differences of opinion with the US. We have overcome them with well-thought-out and determined decisions ," he said.
Netanyahu then said that "he does not need anyone" to manage relations with the US in the context of "protecting Israel's security interests".
