In a message to the nation on Friday morning, hours after Israel struck sites in Tehran and other cities, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Zionist regime should expect severe punishment.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declared that the Israeli regime sealed a "bitter and painful" fate for itself with its nighttime attacks on Iran.
In a message to the nation on Friday morning, hours after Israel struck sites in Tehran and other cities, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Zionist regime should expect severe punishment.
"To the Great Iranian Nation. The Zionist regime committed a crime in our beloved country with its evil and bloody hand and further revealed its evil nature by striking residential areas. The regime should expect a harsh response ," Ayatollah Khamenei said, according to the state news agency IRNA.
The leader said a number of commanders and scientists were killed in the attacks, but added that their successors and colleagues would immediately resume their work.
He further added that the powerful hand of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not let go of Israel.
" With this crime, the Zionist regime sealed itself a bitter and painful fate and will definitely see it [fate] brought upon it ," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The General Staff, referring to the message issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that, according to the Leader's order, the Armed Forces will deliver a devastating response to Israel that will make the regime regret its aggression.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Office has announced that the Zionist regime of Israel and its regional and international supporters will undoubtedly receive a proportionate and decisive response at an appropriate time and place of their choosing.
