Two doctors and their three children were among the 241 people who lost their lives in the fatal Air India flight. A touching new photo circulating online shows the family of five smiling while on the plane just minutes before the crash.
The photograph, which was published by the BBC, shows Prateek Joshi, a radiologist at the Royal Derby Hospital, with his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, and their three children. The Times of India newspaper identified the children as little Miraya and twin brothers Pradyut and Nakul.
Neil Ryan, a 42-year-old former neighbour of the family, told the BBC that the family of five were "the best family and their deaths were absolutely devastating".
"They were truly humble and good people. It's heartbreaking," he concluded.
Two 20-year-old sisters from London were also among the 241 dead in the devastating Air India crash, who returned to the UK after surprising their grandmother for her birthday, according to their cousin.
She says the family is not ready to accept that they are gone and that their grandmother is in a state of shock.
"At this moment, no one can accept it. They had only come here for our grandmother's birthday. I can't hold back the tears. Imagine what their parents are feeling now and think about the guilt our grandmother feels now," she concluded.
A father of two young daughters from London, who travelled to India to fulfil his wife's last wish, was also among those who lost their lives in the Air India plane crash, according to the Daily Mail.
