A businessman was stabbed to death on Wednesday afternoon in Varese. Davide Gorla, 50, owner of “Linea Continua”, a luxury stationery store in the center of Busto Arsizio, in the province of Varese, was stabbed by a man who then ran away.
It all happened shortly after 6:00 PM on Milano Street. Nearby business owners tried to help the victim and raised the alarm, as they saw the aggressor with a knife in his hand, shortly before he left.
Police have launched a search for the man in the city's historic center. The investigation is being coordinated by public prosecutor Flavia Salvatore.
According to initial information, it is not a robbery, although investigators are not ruling out other hypotheses at the moment. According to what has been learned, the businessman was heard shouting "what are you doing? Are you crazy?" before being killed.
