Ron DeSantis, the right-wing governor of Florida, has withdrawn from his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination and offered his support to Donald Trump.
DeSantis' withdrawal two days before the New Hampshire primary follows a disappointing result in the Iowa caucuses, where he finished second to Donald Trump by a wide margin.
Seeing this result, he declared through a post on the "X" platform that it seems clear that the Republicans want to trust Trump with a second term.
" It's clear to me that the majority of Republican voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," he said in a statement posted on X. "He has my support because we cannot go back to the old Republican guard of last year. a repackaged form of warmth about the corporatism that Nikki Haley represents ,” he writes.
