Ukraine has imposed a series of sanctions on Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev for destabilizing Kiev's sovereignty by investing in the tourism sector in Crimea, the peninsula illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.
The tycoon has a hotel and other assets in Ukraine, according to the British newspaper "The Guardian".
The measures imposed will prevent Russians from withdrawing funds from Ukraine and conducting banking transactions within the country. Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council imposed these sanctions on Lebedev in October 2022, but the news had not been released until Thursday.
