After the Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump's tariffs, Vice President JD Vance accused the judges of violating the law.
“Today, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress, despite giving the president the ability to ‘regulate imports,’ did not actually mean to do so. This is a violation of the law by the Court, plain and simple ,” said JD Vance.
He added that the only effect of the decision is to make it more difficult for the president to protect American industries and the sustainability of the supply chain.
It is worth noting that many disagree with the assertion that this tariff policy was in the best interest of American industry and business. This is because tariffs paid by medium-sized businesses in the US tripled over the past year.
Recall that a little while ago Trump held a press conference at the White House, where he called the decision of the Supreme Court members disappointing. However, Trump emphasized that the tariffs that would be removed by this decision will be replaced by other methods allowed by law.
