The Greek MEP, Eva Kaili, who has been at the center of the investigation of the Qatargate scandal, was seen walking in the corridors of the European Parliament with her two-year-old daughter.
The former vice-president of the European Parliament returned to the headquarters of the EU institution in Rue Wiertz after her four-month detention. As her lawyer Michalis Dimitrakopoulos confirmed for the Ansa agency, she has now resumed her work.

We recall that her arrest caused shock throughout Brussels and brought to light an investigation into a scheme involving large sums of money and gifts allegedly paid by Qatar and Morocco to influence EU decisions on these two countries. . As part of the case, Belgian police seized more than €1.5 million in cash after searches of homes and offices.
Kaili was one of five people criminally charged by Belgian authorities, along with her domestic partner Francesco Giorgi, former European Parliament member Antonio Panzeri, who is seen as the "prime minister" of the scandal, Belgian MEP Marc Tarabella and NGO director "There is no peace without justice", Nikolos Talamankas.
