Southern Spain is facing a heat wave, which according to experts is a consequence of global warming, which scientists attribute to the human factor.
The thermometer reached 44 degrees in Sevilla and Cordoba, while the scorching days will continue in Andalusia, Madrid, Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha.
At the beginning of this year, the country was faced with a major drought, which is considered one of the worst since 1961, when data began to be recorded.
The authorities took many measures to deal with the situation, including water rationing or fines for anyone who wasted it.
In the meantime, the authorities call on residents to avoid going out in the heat and to stay hydrated on these hot days.
