Creepy story/ The leader of a sect was found mummified and bruised

A woman, the leader of a cult, was found mummified and with blue paint on her body, in one of the strangest stories ever recorded in a documentary.

In November 2023, HBO premiered the documentary “Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God,” leaving viewers speechless with its three episodes. The series follows Amy Carlson, from Kansas, USA, and her journey to become the leader of the “Love Has Won” cult.

The group is described by the media and former members as a cult, with beliefs that combine conspiracy theories and the idea that Carlson was the reincarnation of an omnipotent being.

In April 2021, authorities found her body wrapped in a blanket in a house in Creston, Colorado, where 12 to 20 cult members lived.

Carlson was born on November 30, 1975, in McPherson, Kansas, and grew up between Kansas and Oklahoma before moving to Texas. In the mid-2000s, she was a mother of three and a manager at McDonald's when she became involved in "New Age" spiritualism, participating in online forums.

There she met Amerith Whiteeagle, who convinced her that she was an ethereal being. Carlson began to believe in them and hear voices. In 2007, she left her job, her third husband, and her children to move to Colorado with him, where she became the "Mother and Father God" of the cult.

Carlson claimed to be a spiritual savior and developed the cult through online manifestos and live broadcasts, convincing her followers that they were guided by beings she called "Galaxies," including deceased celebrities such as Steve Irwin, Robin Williams, Carrie Fisher and even the undead Donald Trump.

The cult developed in 2014 and combined elements of "New Age spirituality, conspiracy theories and mainstream religion." Followers believed that Carlson could cure cancer with the "power of love," while she herself declared that alcohol and drugs were her "medicine." She also consumed colloidal silver, an alternative treatment that was considered dangerous and ineffective.

Despite claims that she was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and Joan of Arc, her health deteriorated. Eventually, she consumed alcohol, causing her face to turn blue, a phenomenon known as argyria. Followers believed that her deteriorating health was due to absorbing the negative energy of the world and that she would spiritually "ascend," with some believing that she would depart in a UFO and ensure the salvation of humanity.

Carlson died at the age of 45. Her body, adorned with lights and gemstones, was found about two weeks after her death in a Colorado home. Her followers continued to believe that she had entered the "fifth dimension," creating a kind of shrine around herself.

The documentary describes how the cult took Carlson to Ashland, Oregon, in her final days. After a "phone call," they transported her body back to the group's headquarters before the homeowner, Laboy, reported the incident to Saguaches police.

The body had traveled five states in an SUV. An autopsy showed that death was due to organ failure due to alcoholism, anorexia, and use of colloidal silver. Carlson had lost more than 50 pounds before he died, and experts explain that colloidal silver can cause kidney, liver, and nervous system problems. In addition, no evidence of cancer was found.
