Israel says it killed 20 other Hezbollah leaders of various ranks during the attack that left leader Hassan Nasrallah dead at the group's headquarters on Friday.
The Israeli military also says it killed Ibrahim Hussein Jazin, the head of Nasrallah's security unit, and Samir Taëfiq Dib, whom the Israeli military describes as "Nasrallah's longtime confidant and adviser."
The army adds that Hezbollah's headquarters were embedded under several civilian buildings. Earlier, Hezbollah confirmed that one of its senior members was killed by Israeli airstrikes on Saturday.
" Nabil Qaouk, head of Hezbollah's preventive security council and a key member of its central council, was killed by Israeli warplanes yesterday ," the IDF said earlier.
On the other hand, the White House National Security spokesman, John Kirby, said that the development of an all-out war with Hezbollah or Iran will not return Israelis safely to their homes in the north of the country.
Kirby told CNN that the United States was continuing to talk with Israel about the appropriate next steps in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the US has increased the readiness of additional forces that could be deployed to the region.
