The Ministry of Interior in Turkey has announced that the second terrorist who carried out the terrorist attack in front of the ministry was identified as Özkan Şahin, a member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, reports Anadolu.
In a statement from the ministry, it is recalled that the attempted attack on Sunday, October 1 by 2 terrorists against the Ministry of the Interior was prevented as a result of the immediate response of the heroic police officers and that the terrorists were neutralized, AA reports .
As a result of previous investigations and DNA analysis, it was determined that one of the terrorists was a member of the terrorist organization Hasan Oğuz with the code name "Kanivar Erdal", it is stated in the statement in which it is announced that it has been determined that the second terrorist has also been identified as a member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, Özkan Şahin.
"The investigation launched by our security units continues. The fight against terrorism will continue with persistence and determination until the last terrorist is neutralized ," the ministry's statement said.
An explosion and gun attack occurred on Sunday (October 1) near the Turkish Interior Ministry building in Ankara. During the terrorist attack, two of the aggressors and two police officers were killed.
