
At least 151 people have been injured in the earthquake that struck Istanbul, the Turkish city's Governor's office announced.
After the 6.2 magnitude earthquake, the Governor's Office announced that 151 people were injured after jumping from heights in an attempt to escape the shaking.
A statement from the Governor states that "the treatment of 151 citizens injured as a result of jumping from a height due to panic continues in hospitals. None of them are in danger of their lives."

"In the 6.2 Richter scale earthquake that occurred in Silivri, until 15:30 there is no problem that would affect the supply of energy, natural gas, drinking water and sewage infrastructure. There is no destruction of buildings in the city, with the exception of an abandoned building," the official announcement states.
