Rugged terrain is making it difficult to reach some deep villages hard-hit in Morocco after Friday's earthquake.
Many people in the region are still under the rubble with their entire communities almost destroyed, Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra said from the Marrakesh region.
" Yesterday they managed to save two people. They hope to repeat that today. But it will be difficult for this reason: it is extremely difficult to get to this area. It took me about six hours to drive from the airport to Talat N'Yaaqoub. I saw roads that were blocked by huge rocks that fell from the mountain right after the earthquake. This presents major logistical concerns for the authorities ," he said.
Meanwhile, rescue teams are fighting against time to try to save the people trapped under the rubble. In these deep areas, it has not yet been possible to reach aid and experts, which can further deepen the tragic balance
