Iran has again accused the United States of violating the ceasefire, just hours before the deadline expires, increasing tensions and uncertainty about future developments in the region.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that the US naval blockade of Iranian ports constitutes “an act of war” and, as such, a direct violation of the ceasefire. In a public reaction, he also referred to the seizure of an Iranian-flagged merchant ship, the “Touska,” by US forces in the Gulf of Oman.

"Striking a merchant ship and taking its crew hostage constitutes an even more serious violation," Araghchi stressed, adding that Iran is ready to defend its interests and face international pressure.

The Iranian military has also reacted, accusing the US of violating the ceasefire and warning of countermeasures after the incident with the ship.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has also accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement, through a post on the Truth Social platform, without providing specific details.

The exchange of accusations between the two countries is taking place in parallel with diplomatic efforts, while it remains unclear whether the planned talks in Pakistan will take place. The situation is particularly delicate, as the ceasefire is nearing its end and any developments in the coming hours could determine whether the parties return to the negotiating table or escalate the conflict.
