According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli forces operating in the area. In response, the Israeli military says it “attacked the launcher from which the rockets were fired.” Hezbollah has not yet made any official comment on the allegations.
In an earlier update on Telegram, the IDF stated that its ground and air forces had killed "terrorists who crossed the defensive line in the Al-Qsair area," calling the action a violation of the ceasefire.
Israel and Lebanon are currently in a 10-day ceasefire, following six weeks of clashes between Hezbollah and the Israeli military. However, recent developments cast doubt on its sustainability.
Meanwhile, representatives from both sides are expected to meet for a second round of talks on Thursday, according to a US official, in an effort to avoid a new escalation.
