Israelis against Netanyahu, families of hostages demand ceasefire and

Families of relatives still held hostage by Hamas militants in Gaza staged a protest outside government offices in Tel Aviv to demand authorities renew efforts to free them.

As Israel resumes bombing of Gaza, concerns about the safety of the hostages have also increased.

Protesters marched through the streets carrying placards with pictures of the hostages chanting, "Free them all. Now!".

Israel has declared some of the missing citizens as having died in captivity.

A three-person medical committee has reviewed video from the Oct. 7 Hamas attack for signs of fatal injuries among the abductees and combined it with testimony from hostages released during a week-long Gaza ceasefire that ended Friday.

Hagar Mizrahi, a health ministry official, said this could be enough to determine that a hostage is dead, even if no doctor has an official expertise and has not seen his or her body.

Of the approximately 240 people kidnapped, 108 were released by Hamas in exchange for the release of many Palestinians.

Since the end of the ceasefire, Israeli authorities have declared six civilians and an army colonel dead in captivity. This has not been confirmed by Hamas.
