Palestine has reacted after a deadly rocket attack in Israel that left 40 people dead and injured at least 740 others. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State of Exiles of Palestine, it was said that the attack was forewarned.
They further call on Israel to end its "occupation of the land and state of Palestine". According to them, the daily Israeli provocations and attacks on Palestinians and the raid on the mosque in Al Asqa brought this reaction.
The statement said, among other things, that "security, stability and peace in the region can be achieved by ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

We have warned repeatedly, for a long time, against the consequences of blocking the political horizon and failing to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of their own state. We have also warned against the consequences of daily provocations and attacks, including the ongoing terrorism of settlers and occupying forces, as well as raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian and Islamic holy sites.
Security, stability and peace in our region can be achieved by ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the lines of 1967, and recognizing the people's right to independence and sovereignty.
Israel's rejection of signed agreements and failure to adhere to resolutions of international legitimacy led to the destruction of the peace process. This is in addition to the lack of a solution to the Palestinian issue after 75 years of suffering and displacement, the continuation of the policy of double standards and the silence of the international community regarding the criminal and racist practices of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people, and the continuation of injustice and oppression to which the Palestinian people are exposed is the reason for this explosive situation and the lack of peace and security in the region. Peace requires justice, freedom and independence for our Palestinian people, the return of refugees and the full implementation of international legitimacy resolutions.
