Kamala Harris more powerful than Biden, but weaker than Trump; here's what the polls show

A survey recently conducted for the presidential elections in the USA, after the resignation of Biden, shows that even Kamala Harris cannot beat Donald Trump.

But the result of the poll shows that the vice president, the most discussed name to run against Trump, has more support than Biden.

The Republican still has the advantage, but it is smaller than when Biden was on the ballot. Morning Consult found that Trump has 47% support to Harris' 45%, a gap of just two percentage points. Biden had a 6 percentage point lead over Trump in a previous poll.

Harris' campaign appears to have given Democrats a spark of enthusiasm, with 27% saying they are "much more motivated" to participate in the political process, compared to 24% for Republicans.

And for those questioning whether Harris is the best candidate Democrats could choose, polls found her to perform the best against Trump of the 10 candidates surveyed.
