
Three police officers have been shot during violent protests in France, by an as yet unidentified person.
According to what foreign media write, the officers were 'ambushed' by someone hiding behind a wall in the Rhone region. They were shot in the leg and thigh.
" We have gone through an alarming situation. We haven't seen anything like this before here and it's very disturbing ," a police officer told the BBC.
More than 1,300 people have been arrested after a fourth night of violent protests across the country following the death of 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk, who was shot by police during a traffic stop in a Paris suburb on Tuesday.
