Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has been threatened by unknown individuals. An envelope addressed to the minister, inside of which three bullets were found, has arrived at the Serbian government.
The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs said the envelope was noticed yesterday "during the regular mail sorting process."
"During the security check with X-ray equipment, three bullets were found in the envelope," the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Authorities announced that police have identified and located the person who delivered the envelope to a Serbian Post office branch in Pozarevac on August 26. The suspect's identity has not yet been released.
Dacic is known as a close confidant of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and as the minister at the center of criticism in recent months, where tension and protests have been growing.
