Brigitte Macron and her husband, Emmanuel Macron, president of France, have returned to the spotlight after the publication of the book "Un Couple (Presque) Parfait", a new biography by journalist Florian Tardif, which sheds light on their personal relationship and life inside the Elysee Palace.

The book presents a picture of a marriage filled with tension, jealousy and the First Lady's strong influence on the French President's political and personal life.

According to the author, Brigitte Macron, 73, considers the women around her husband to be "predators" and is said to personally screen female candidates who apply for jobs at the Elysee Palace.

According to the book's claims, the First Lady demands to see the photos of every woman who applies for positions in the French presidency and in some cases has decided herself whether or not they should be hired. Florian Tardif describes an atmosphere where jealousy and personal insecurity also influence decision-making within the presidency.

At a private dinner last year, Brigitte Macron reportedly confessed to her friends: "I'm afraid. I'm afraid that after all this, he might leave me," a statement that the author says shows her insecurities about the large age difference with the French president, who is 25 years her junior.

The book also delves into Brigitte Macron's close relationship and influence on Emmanuel Macron since the beginning of his political career. According to Tardif, the French president made it clear to his aides that his wife's happiness was essential to the success of his presidential term.

"Brigitte must be happy. If she feels unhappy, I will not be able to cope and I will fail in my mandate," Macron is quoted as saying after taking office in 2017.

A significant part of the biography also focuses on the rumors that have accompanied the French president in recent years. Emmanuel Macron has been constantly rumored for possible romantic relationships, allegations that he has categorically denied, describing them as "rumors" and "baseless scenarios."

The book also mentions the incident that made international headlines during an official visit to Vietnam, when cameras filmed an awkward moment between the presidential couple near the official French plane. According to the author, Brigitte Macron reacted harshly to her husband after a video message appeared on the President's phone, while the footage was widely commented on in the international media.

Florian Tardif also recalls the beginning of the presidential couple's relationship, when Emmanuel Macron was only 15 years old and Brigitte was 40, married with three children. They met at the "La Providence" school in Amiens, where Brigitte was his teacher.

Despite the controversy and rumors that have accompanied their relationship over the years, the author describes Brigitte Macron as the most important figure in the French president's life and the "anchor" that keeps him politically stable.

According to the biography, her influence at the Elysee Palace remains intact and extends from the president's personal relationships to political elections and appointments at the highest levels of the French government.

The book "Un Couple (Presque) Parfait" is expected to spark strong debates in France, as it brings previously unknown details about the private life of the presidential couple and the atmosphere inside the Elysee Palace.
