US President Donald Trump has spoken again about the Israel-Iran ceasefire and the US attacks on three Iranian nuclear plants.
During a press conference, Trump said he described the US attacks on Iranian nuclear plants as a success.
"This extraordinary exercise of American force has paved the way for peace with a historic ceasefire agreement late Monday," he says.
The US president also spoke about his role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. He stressed that the 12-day war between the two countries is over.
"We call it the 12-day war. I talked to some people. I think that sounded like the right name. It was a 12-day war. And we think it's over. I don't think they're going to get revenge on each other. I don't think so ," he adds.
Asked what makes him so confident that the war between Israel and Iran is over, Trump said that both countries' leaders are tired and exhausted by this situation.
"They fought very hard and very savagely, very violently, and they were both glad to go home and leave," Trump said.
But the US president adds: "I think one day it could start again soon."
He says both sides were involved in a terrible war and then claims the war ended when the US struck Iran's nuclear facilities. He also doesn't deny the fear that attacks could start again.
