The deputy of the Parliament of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sabina Čudič, has stated that the "Serbian world" thesis, if implemented, will mean war in the region and the death of many citizens.
Čudić said that he does not think that Serbia is interested in implementing the "Greater Serbia" thesis, but simply to benefit from the idea of this thesis, creating a political crisis with serious consequences in the Balkans.
She also added that clashes in the Balkans could start with an incident as a result of their hate speech.
" No doubt, but by doing this, everyone will seek personal benefits and their own share. So, in the end, I don't think they are necessarily planning or taking steps to achieve their long-term goals in the short term. Because they should continue to benefit from this idea.
If this idea were to materialize, they know that the idea of a greater Serbia would mean war, it would mean the death of their citizens, it would mean perhaps a loss of support because unfortunately, we are still recovering from the bloodiest war in European soil since World War II.
In this sense they should continue to benefit from the idea and not necessarily from the immediate implementation of that idea. This idea itself, and just the scenes you just described, are creating a political crisis. This is enough for the citizens to see them together and make announcements. Even without actions taken, it is enough to create a political crisis with serious real consequences.
We are talking about lack of investment, political instability, the perception of political instability is a key factor that investors are considering. So, seeing and hearing what these men are saying, I would be the first to be somewhat skeptical of supporting anything in the region if I'm afraid of undesirable political consequences. At the same time, the world should not be in the traditional sense of tanks and planes. It may start with an incident as a result of their hate speech.
Every time Mr. Dodik uses slanderous expressions against Bosnia, calling them Turks, and so on, there is a potential for these statements to turn into reality through incidents of violence that can turn, at least to a small degree, into conflicts ," said Čudić.
