"Everyone is resistant": this is the title of the survival manual developed by the French government for war and other crises.
According to RMC, the manual is 30 pages long and will be distributed to citizens starting next fall.
Already on the desk of Prime Minister François Bayrou, the booklet aims to guide citizens in crisis situations and its structure is similar to that announced in March. The General Secretariat for Defense and National Security, responsible for its drafting, has stated that it is not a survival guide per se, but rather a manual listing "good advice" and "reflexes" to adopt to effectively address any type of difficulty.
The book is divided into three chapters: Prepare, Protect, and Respond. Using "simple, clear illustrations and sentences," the first part explains how to protect yourself by taking appropriate actions. For example, learning where to shelter, when to stay home or evacuate, when to stay away from waterways, and so on.

The second part teaches what to do in the event of an alarm. Different types of alarms are defined and explained, and instructions are provided on how to obtain information from news and television channels and how to follow instructions sent by authorities via text messages.
The last section aims to raise awareness among the French regarding recruitment, for those wishing to become army reservists, join the police, the fire brigade or join civil security.
The manual also recommends that citizens carry a survival kit with the essentials: drinking water, a first aid kit, food, a flashlight, and a radio.
It also addresses the increasingly frequent possibility of severe climate-related disasters, such as floods and forest fires. Distribution details have not yet been announced, but the first deliveries are expected in mid-October.
