Moscow has reacted after the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement.
"Moscow welcomes the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas which Russia has been calling for since the escalation of the conflict" for a four-day humanitarian pause in Gaza, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told the Tass news agency.
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a deal to release 50 hostages being held in Gaza during a four-day pause in fighting. It is not yet known when the agreement will be implemented, but if successful it will be the first cessation of hostilities since the outbreak of war.
Hamas says the deal will also allow hundreds of trucks of humanitarian aid, medical supplies and fuel into Gaza. Hamas says 150 Palestinian women and children will be released from Israeli prisons under the deal.
Israel's government insists this is not the end of the war, reiterating its commitment to "complete the elimination of Hamas". Israel says that for every 10 hostages released over the initial 50 that were agreed upon, the ceasefire will be extended by one day.
It is not yet clear when the ceasefire will start, Qatar says it will be announced in the next 24 hours. It is also expected that the 50 hostages to be released will be Israeli or dual nationals, not foreign nationals.
