After returning from the hospital, Pope Francis was present at today's Mass in the Vatican, where he called on European countries to do more about migrants who come by boat to the EU.
Triggered by the sinking of the ship with many dead in Pylos, he made a prayer for their lives and added that such events must be prevented.
" With great sadness and great pain, I think about the victims of the very serious sinking of the ship that happened in the last few days off the coast of Greece. My prayers go out to those who lost their lives and I ask that everything possible be done to prevent similar tragedies ," the Pope said.
The issue of immigrants is a hot topic in Europe because of the disputes that countries have with each other over the question of who should keep immigrants who come from their countries of origin. A new plan is being discussed and an agreement is expected to be reached between them on this issue very soon.
