The threat from the Wagner mercenary group has put Moscow and the surrounding regions in a "state of siege". Anti-terrorist measures have been introduced in the regions that lie between Moscow and those from where the Wagner rebels are advancing.
In the Tambov region, which is adjacent to the Lipetsk region, where the Wagner forces have just entered, all events and movements have been canceled. Citizens have been asked to stay at home and not to leave their homes. These orders have been applied in all regions around the capital.
Meanwhile, movement on the Moscow River has been banned in the capital. Police officers wearing bulletproof vests and carrying assault rifles have set up roadblocks on the main highway linking Moscow with Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don. Sand trucks have blocked the entrance to the city and barricades have been erected to prevent Wagner's mercenaries from entering the city.
Machine gun checkpoints have been positioned in the Russian capital and armored vehicles have been filmed on the streets of the city. All the images coming from the Russian capital give the impression that we will have an armed conflict. Also, the recruitment posters of the mercenary group Wagner have been torn from the streets in the capital.

Measures are not being taken only by Russia, the border countries with Russia have also started to close the border to avoid any kind of riot or possible incident. Latvia was the first to announce that it has closed its borders to Russians amid an armed rebellion against President Putin's regime.
Latvia's president-elect said Saturday that the Baltic state had beefed up its border security in response to the rebellion in Russia and would not accept Russians.
"Latvia is closely following the developing situation in Russia... Border security has been strengthened, visa or border entry by Russians leaving Russia due to current events will not be considered," Edgars Rinkevics said on Twitter./ Pamphlet
